Asian stock markets traded mixed after U.S. Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke said interest rates would remain at very low levels for a long time, boosting global stocks. However, volatility may remain high on the bourses as trader’s rollover positions in the derivatives segment from February series to March series today. The Economic Survey will be tabled in the parliament today.
According to data released by the NSE, in the last session, FIIs were net sellers of index futures to the tune of Rs 700.30 crore, while they sold index options worth Rs 250.40 crore. They were net buyers of stock futures to the tune of Rs 277.19 crore and sold stock options worth Rs 73.58 crore.
